I often float around in the fog of abstract expressionism, allowing my emotions or thoughts to drive my art, resulting in unexpected mark-making and multimedia stories.

I am also inspired by nature, and I love to create studies of botanical or animal life, focussing on details and textures.

I use many different mediums like watercolors, gouache, inks, crayons and pastels, and am always exploring new ways to incorporate texture or pattern into my works.

I have been obsessed with fountain pens and inks lately and have a little YouTube channel exploring these and my watercolor journey too @JannahLyon.  I also try to share my work on Instagram (@jannahlyon) and enjoy connecting with other artists and creators.
